How We Communicate
- My.AveMaria
A dedicated website for key events, announcements, and schedules (including Mass and Confession times and event programs) for the AMU on-campus community—especially students.- Events: Updated daily with campus activities and events. New events may be submitted through the website.
- Announcements: The home page features important information about events, student life, and requirements (e.g., reminders to apply for graduation). These are used in addition to or in place of mass emails. New announcements may be submitted through the website.
- Campus Ministry: Information on events, Mass and Confession times, and more to keep students, faculty, and staff engaged and spiritually nourished in the Catholic faith—an essential part of life at AMU.
- Regular Mass Emails
- The Weekly Recap: Sent every Saturday morning to faculty, staff, students, parents, and donors. This email provides a brief summary of the week's highlights, with short descriptions and links to a webpage on My.AveMaria where event photos can be viewed. The Recap helps keep off-campus audiences engaged and allows students to access and share event photos.
- The Monthly Messenger: Sent to all faculty and staff on the first of each month. This communication provides important and timely information about upcoming events and deadlines, and fosters community by announcing birthdays, new hires, and faculty achievements.
Mass Email & Communication Planning
The Internal Communications team partners with offices and divisions to plan communications and mass emails for the campus community (all faculty/staff and/or students).
To qualify as a mass email, a message must meet at least one of the following criteria:

- Renovations planned for a particular campus building
- Ave Maria University is hosting Family Rosary Across America
- Critical, time-sensitive, or germane to the University's mission:
- Student Union Building closed due to burst pipe
- SACSCOC accreditors are visiting campus this weekend
- Addresses an issue of campus safety or health:
- Hurricane preparation notices
- Beware of email scam
- Addresses a recommended or required action that applies to most:
- Renew your annual parking pass
- Register for classes for next semester
